Michael Reich, CEO DSI Underground
The studied mining engineer was born in 1962 in Duisburg, Germany. Michael Reich has 30 years of experience in the mining industry. He received his mining degree (Dipl.-Ing.) at the University of Clausthal-Zellerfeld in 1987. Starting his career in underground coal mining, he worked for RAG (German coal) in engineering and technical positions for a number of years. Michael joined Fosroc Mining, a Burmah Castrol company, in 1997 and has held various senior management positions since, successfully managing various companies operating in ground support and strata reinforcement. Michael served as CEO of Minova International, an Orica group company based in Melbourne, Australia, before he joined the DSI International Board of Directors in 2012. After a two-year engagement as Chairman of the Board of Directors of DSI International and following the separation of DSI International into a Construction and an Underground division, he started as CEO of DSI Underground in March 2016, where he continues to use his broad mining industry experiences and acquired leadership skills to guide DSI Underground.
